Electrolux EW1200i sometimes stuck repeatedly rinsing

Hi all!

I wonder if anyone can help with this question- I searched but couldn’t see an identical problem.

Our Electrolux EW1200i sometimes -but only sometimes- gets stuck on the rinsing stage, just before it should drain the water and start spinning. I think the water is flowing into the machine and flowing straight out the other side, and it will do it for hours if left unattended. If I manually turn the dial one step forwards it immediately drains the water, starts the spinning process and finishes the process properly.

This generally doesn’t seem to happen on the first wash of the day- it usually completes that with no problems. When we get to wash number 2 or 3, however, it gets stuck.

check the outlet hose is not too low so the machine siphons and check the filter is clear

water is lower on the wash so more likely to fail on rinse
