    Afternoon all

    My friend has an Electrolux EWD 1409 washer dryer that has died (a bit). When switched on all the lights come on, and the program selector switch works fine. When different programs are selected the LED countdown timer updates correctly.

    The green start button light blinks slowly like it used to do before, but when the button is pressed nothing happens. It could be that the start button microswitch is gone but wondering if anyone has had a problem like this before.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi.

    It could be an insulation fault with the drier element. You will need an appropriate test meter.
