This washing machine shows the cycle completed and icon display “door unlocked” but door remains firmly locked. Child Lock is off. Any assistance appreciated

Have just found out it’s one of two problems or both.
1. Door Catch has a broken tongue.
2. Door Interlock faulty this unit is behind door panel and has a bimetal strip that when energised springs in opposite direction and lock door and when deenergised springs back enabling door to be opened. This can go faulty and remain in locked position.
