I’ve got an Electrolux EWX127410W washer-dryer. Today, I washed and dried one load of clothes, and was about to start another. I rotated the dial from drying to cotton wash, and the LCD screen went blank, though it was still backlit. I rotated to the off position and it went out, but when I rotated back to wash, it lit up momentarily and then went out. From then on it wouldn’t do anything, no lights came on at all.

The socket wasn’t easily accessible (it’s an integrated unit) so I turned off and on the breaker for the circuit. It stayed dead at first, but when I came back after 10 minutes it was working again, and I was able to run a short wash cycle as a test.

Does anyone know what happened here, and if it’s a bad sign or just something that happens? The machine’s still in warranty, but only for another few months.

So it turns out this has an entry on their support site: https://www.support.emea.electrolux.com/en-ie/Laundry/02_Washer_-_Dryer/Washer_-_dryer_does_not_switch_on_after_a_drying_cycle

Report error code DM. Suppose I’ll be phoning them, then.
