ParticipantElectrolux EWX14440W integrated washer drier. 91460230000. Serial no:- 73901087.
Dead – absolutely dead. Mains voltage at the suppressor. Power to fascia PCB. I cannot run the diagnostics as it is stone dead.
I assume that the PCB has blown and all the electronics are goosed. Not good – machine is less than 2 years old and the price of the module is over £100 to me!!
I’m not really happy to plug on a new PCB to these new type ‘Lux machines with the risk of instant failure. ‘Lux electronics are as fragile as rice paper anyway, but I can’t begin without buying a PCB. Nuts to it. 😈Any answers to this please? Would Electrolux do anything about this problem seeing as it is less than 2 years old and only lightly used by 2 people?
Steve.

Thanks Mike, but this is fitted with a completely different PCB type to the previous problem machine – all the electronics apart from the drier control are behind the fascia. Would an o/c pump knock out the display also? Logically that shouldn’t happen…..but I haven’t tried that so I s’pose I’d better. 😕
This machine is £800 new when Googled last night….wow!Anyone else have anything else on this please?

1 in aswer to under 2 years ols yes lux have a policy think it if parts under £35 will fix at 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} cost over £35 will give money toward replacement
2 if a pcb is totally dead it is probably a power supply fault on the board have a word with emw they fix power supplies all the time they would give it a look i am sure
3 a lot of small boards use a capacitor to power the pcb usually 1 to 1.5 uF these go down and stop the board much like the dropper resistors on the old servis boards
hope this helps
