Electrolux EWX14440W washer dryer – stopping mid cycle

Intermittent I’m afraid! (And integrated 🙁 )

Right…….customer sets prog for cottons 60 cycle – machine starts and continues through cycle but instead of the display showing “000” & end light coming on. It goes back to PROGRAMME TIME “200”

Thinking maybe a valve BUT sometimes it will complete rinse & spin, sometimes it just wont start the rinse/spin cycle ARGHHH!!

I am pretty sure it won’t be a board fault 😳 it is only three years old I am just convinced this is something silly.

unplug dryer element, make sure the flying terminals do not touch anything/each other, and see if it completes first 15 mins of a wash cycle with no error.

If the dryer element (or wash element) or possibly motor, is below 40 Megohms insulation resistance ……. I’m getting tired of repeating this….
could we set up a sticky?

what baffles me if why this doesnt seem to be an issue on merloni or candy kit. im only assuming its because the lux dryer elements are so much longer than the others ??? each one thats failed due to low insulation has soap powder residue on the tips but none of my hp etc ones have the same signs…

Maybe the Merloni electronics aren’t so touchy; at least where this point is concerned?

Sorry if you are getting tired of repeating this, but THANKS for repeating it!

The search facility still baffles me on this site 😳 but I still love the fact that we are all happy to share info.
