ParticipantHi all, I have a problem with the above.
It takes ages to fill now. The initial fill speed is good then after around 10 seconds or so it drops right off. Water pressure seems to be good as all other appliances work as they should. I’m wondering if this could be the fill valve?
It also pauses it’s self now if it doesn’t fill within the first 15 minutes, I’m not sure if this is an autocut off. I.e. if it doesn’t reach the required fill level in 15 minutes it assumes a fault so pauses its self. I hope that makes sense. Cheers!

It does sound that the valve is faulty. And yes it will time out if not filled within 5 or so minutes.

Cheers for the help Martin, any other things it’s likely to be, or is the fill valve the most likely culprit??

If you are certain there’s no issue with the water pressure to the machine then it has to be the valve at fault. A common enough problem anyway.

I don’t suspect the water pressure. As I say everything else works as normal. And it fills ok for the first 5 seconds or so then drops off to a dribble.
As an aside, is this a Zanussi in a different case?

Yes Zanussi are part of the Electrolux group of companies so there are badges versions of the same product. Including AEG, Blomberg, Electra, Ikea and so on.

had same problem on a indesit one and that was the water inlet valve one off them had broken and would let one side off the draw fill up and other side had a slight dribble change the valve now works perfect
