electrolux fridge freezer knocking noise

Hi,

my fridge freezer has developed a knocking noise over the last few weeks. It’s 3 and a half years old.
The noise seems to be coming from the area between the fridge and freezer.
It’s a frost free model.
Any ideas?

If you open the freezer door can you see ice forming on the back wall if so poss. fan hitting ice? Has door been left open?

I don’t think the door has been left open but it’s possible.
I’ll check for ice and see if that’s the problem.
If there is ice on the fan, I need to defrost completely is that right?

yes turn off and leave door open
