ParticipantI have an Electrolux fridge freezer type ER 7831 I ,(this also has a product code of 925694601) and is about 6 years old.
Although the fridge temp is OK (-3C) the freezer is way too cold (-20C) and the compressor seems to be running almost continiously.
Adjusting the thermostat doesnt seem to do anything and it is set to position 1 (the warmest).I have tried replacing the thermostat with the part you recommended (2262146240) but this didn’t do any good and things are just the same.
Any ideas either how I can test the thermostat (the old one said K59L2025 and has pins 3, 4 and 6 +two earths) or can you point me in the direction of any other possible solutions ?
Thanks and Merry Christmas

the fridge is in a reasonably warm kitchen, and has been OK for the past few years. The fridge has a switch to work in a lower temperature area, and I have tried this on the offchance but it was just the same.

Hello there
I have the same freezer as you and also in a warm kitchen (its actually located next to a readiator for some reason)
A couple of months ago the firidge decided to stop working, I thought it best to switch off and let it defrost etc, however when coming to turn back on, neither the fridge OR freezer worked, I switched it off as its obvious I need a new one, on the off-chance I turned it on and the freezer for some reason is now working althought the fridge isn’t.
Surely they would either both work or not,
Is it posssible I can do check something or even change something (like the thermostat)If it has had it, could someone confirm that this model is a 50/50 type integrated F/F so I can start looking for another one.
Thanks in the hope that someone is able to help -
