I got a electrolux fridge model ER6641T Type TT 160 C. The problem is it’s not cold inside the fridge so i have checked to see if anyone has turned the temperature dial down but it’s still in the same place so i was wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong with it.

Can y ou hear the compressor running ?if you can it’s a system fault, likely refrigerant loss.
Is it silent ? if it is, possibly thermostat failed which would be a cheaper and viable repair.
    Unplug always.

OK,if the motor(compressor) is cold to the touch then it’s likely the thermostat.
You will need a meter/avo to establish if the thermostat is open circuit/failed.

I went to a repair shop by me and they said if it’s the thermostat it will cost £55 for the part and to fit it. The compressor is cold so if i buy a thermostat from here is it a easy job to do.

Yes ,if you can hold a screwdriver 🙂
Couple of screws to release the housing then you will see the thermostat.
Look at the new one and note the terminal numbers ,change the connectors by the numbers they will be on the old one too.
    UNPLUG FIRST !!

Bought a thermostat from here so just waiting for it to come now so until then no cold beers in the fridge so i will have to blame my girlfriend for not cleaning the fridge out and thats what caused the thermostat to go and now she will have to let me go to the pub.
