    well folks,
have an electrolux insight ewn14991w here in the workshop and when you turn on the selector switch the following appears on the screen: “unstable mains supply.waiting for stable mains supply voltage before continuing with the programme”. i have changed the suppressor on the machine and still no joy. does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be

It may also show EH1 or EH2 as an error code in these circumstances. It is a voltage detection error associated with power supply problems. If the mains power is within its normal operational limits it should reset automatically. If the appliance is out in the sticks with variable mains voltage supplies via overhead cables then this can be a commonplace error. If the voltage supply is in a more stable neighbourhood then it could well indicate a faulty PCB.

Have you loop tested the mains?

The clients residense is in the countryside but our workshop is in a town so one would imagine that it should work normally in the workshop. This error code is happening in both locations which would indicate the pcb to me? excuse my ignorance but what is loop testing the mains?

my apologies…yesterday was first day back from holidays so was very slow getting back into the swing of thing, no i have loop tested the mains ( i dont have the equipment thats in your download) however every other appliance in the workshop works ok and i brought the machine home to see does the same happen and i got the same result so im going to presume its the board?
