    Dear All,

I came home yesterday to find my old Lavamat L76810 beeping and displaying E52 – “No signal from the motor tachometric generator”, I’ve done loads of research, downloaded service manuals etc but I’m now stumped…

I’m working through a diagnostics matrix that I found but they were written for a much newer model of Lavamat. http://www.4mcculloch.co.uk/images/medi … 709900.pdf.

I’ve run Phase 7 of the Diagnostics Cycle and the drum doesn’t rotate.. The next step is to check the wiring but the motor in the instructions has a 5-pin connector and mine has 10 pins. It’s an ACC model UOZ 112 G70 084 159 (132 0798 902).

I’ve tested across the pins on the motor for the tacho generator and they measure 135m Ohms. The manual I have says that the range for an ACC motor is 169-207 but as I’ve got a different motor this doesn’t get me very far.

Does anyone have any information on how to trace the fault? As far as I can tell it could be the motor itself (approx £190 if I can find stock anywhere), the tacho generator (£30) or the motor control board (£??). I’m really looking for the pin-outs for the 10 pin connector and the motor board and what values I should be getting.

To confuse matters further, when I initially ran the diagnostics to double-check the code I forgot the shut the door and when I shut it the drum did operate until I turned it off. So I suppose that that rules out a dead motor…

    Cheers!

there are 5 machines with the same model. there will be differences so you need to know which one
ie need the product code which ties it to one machine

also you can check tacho with a multimeter connect leads to tacho output on motor plug ( with plug out ) spin motor by hand you should see an output

    Cheers Dave,

I took a punt and got a recon motor off eBay. It arrived today and we’re all good to go. I guess the tacho itself was the problem as the motor did spin up during one of the tests. I’m a much relieved man!
