Hi, hoping for help with above electric oven.

About 5-10mins into heating up, it switches off entirely for a few minutes as if something is tripped. Then, it restarts as if you had just turned it on from the wall.

I read on this forum to replace the thermal cut-out switch, which I’ve done, but it still hasn’t fixed it. Same problem exists.

What else can I try? I recorded a video of it happening, but I don’t think it would help.

    Thanks, Slob.

you describe this as an electric oven but EVE616BA comes up as a microwave oven, Is that correct ?

Hi Dave. Thanks for getting back to me.

Not as far as I’m aware.

Here’s an Australian link to info about the oven. As far as I’m aware, it’s just an electric oven.

know whats happened now. Lux have messed up and put a load of mocrowave info in the tech so i just assumed it was wrong

first thing to check is the cooling fan. if this is not running it will cut out

Also it shows 2 thermal cut outs, Did you change both ?

    Gotcha – thanks, Dave.

Cooling fan’s still working, but I didn’t know about the second cut out. Where’d you find out about the second cut out? I don’t remember seeing a second.

    Thanks, Slob.

Sorted! Thanks, Dave. The 120 degree is on the top of the oven, and the 190 degree is on the rear. Hadn’t noticed the one on the rear before.

Had oven-baked chips for tea and the oven didn’t cut out once!

    Thanks again, Slob.
