electrolux tds wont work

I can`t get the electrolux tds UK 2006 V2 disc to work on my new laptop.

It seems to fully install but when I try and run it it says component “DBGRID32.OCX” or one of its dependencies not corectly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

My laptop is running Windows Vista, is this the problem?

Has anyone else come across this and if so did you find a fix?

Why not try TDS 2007 ? It is now compatible with Acrobat Reader 7.

Tds 2006 V2 runs with acrobat 7.

Do you know if Tds 2007 will work with windows vista?

Still running XP, but have just run the Vista evaluation tool, TDS 2007 does not appear to have any issues.

Unlike, Nero 6, Power DVD, TweakUi, Intellimouse and a couple of others. 😥

I have exactly the same problem trying to get TDS to work on my new Sony laptop.
Could some kind person enlighten me please as to how to overcome this problem.

first check in your c:windowssystem32 folder to see if the ocx is there, if it is then in a command prompt window type.. regsvr32 c:windowssystem32 dbgrid32.ocx.

if the file isnt there then you do a google for a download of it, copy it to c:windowssystem32 then run the regsvr32 command as above.

you will need administrator rights to do the above.

That should fix the error.

I should have mentioned that mine is a 2008 version.

I have passed your info on to my son who is a software engineer, I am sure that it will help.

I covered this a while ago, you need to run the application as adminstrator.
