Electruepart Bosch heater popped out and flooded

We have had a electruepart heater ele4721 pop out and cause a flood, we use a lot of those and have several in stock, we did have another pop out a year or so back.
I don’t think we will use them again. Genuine only Unless somebody can recommend another pattern heater we can have more confidence in.

I bet the faulty heater didnt have the rubber with a shoulder on it. If the housing is tapered to hold the heater your ok but if its a parallel hole you could be in trouble it happened to me years back. but the price difference could be the difference between affordable job or not. I have seen Beko elements fitted in Bosch which are cheaper and have the shoulder rubber but you dont know the value of the thermal internal fuse.

If the rubbwr has a lip… saw it off the old one and add it to the new one…

It can be a tad fiddly, but once youve done a few its easy. I cut the rubber whilst its still on the old element. Then take it off, and you can peel the rubber apart and saw through it. Have never had one pop out after doing this. Gl

The heater that popped out did have a collar.
Neon are you saying I should use a heater without a collar and cut rubber collar from old heater , how is this better,

i found the ones with collars don’t seat properly some come with it some without on the same part no. cut it off

Sorry I can’t work out how your replacing the seals on heating elements.

I can see how you can remove them by cutting through the old element bars but how do you replace it on to the new element without cutting into the new element?

Put my brain out of its misery!

just cut the lip part of the seal off it will then push further away in
