Please give me your best comments about this:
    Machine: Elektro-Helios (made by Electrolux)
    model: DI830-3 From around 1996
    Type: G120
    Prod no: 9114639-10
    Ser no: 52051014

I had this machine for about 10 years and there seems to be a design error in it.
    I searched this forum and found the stroies about the “Zanussi IWMS” and wonder if this is a similar problem;

Sometimes the water isn’t filled at all (just passes the filling stage in a spitsecond and contiues to pumping without any water), sometimes the correct level of water is taken in.
It is very predictible currently (not always like this but):
    I start on program “C”.
First fill is correct and the first rinse/dishing is made as usual.
pumps out and shall (as far as I understand) take in some new water in order to clean out residual water in lower parts of the machine.
This doesn’t happen, the program jumps directly to next stage filling which also is jumped over and the circulation pumps goes on without water.
To avoid this and anyway be able to use the machine I can stop the program by opening the hatch, fill 1 l in the extra rinse stage with a can, wait for it to be pumped out, open the hatch again when the circulation starts without water and then 4 l or so for the main dishing.
When I have filled this, the program goes to next stage which is to take in some extra water which also is working.
Now the machine works well and contiues to dish until temprature is OK and the water is pumped out.
Then, same story again, have to manually fill the extra litre and let that be pumped out and then to fill same 4 litre to make the 1:st rinse to be made.
Wait for it to finish, after pumping, fill 1 l, and then another 4 litres for last rinse.
The funny thing is that after this last, heated rinse, the littel extra intake of one litre is made correctly and pumped out to program end.

Now I’m almost sure that the problem lies in this component:
    http://www.order.se/article.asp?Article … eeType{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}3D1
    (part 1502093006 or 1502093014)

My father in law has a identical machine and we both have succeded to clean this stupid part from grease, particles and other shit several times.
It seems that it is blocked every now and then so that the small hose to the pressostat is getting the wrong pressure and is very tedious to do time after time.
Some times there can be more than a year between this cleaning operation but this time it did’nt help on my machine.

What I wonder now is if there are any known reason for this problem to happen, if Electrolux have issued some service call about it and if they as spareparts are selling an improved version of this component.

    I found this….:
955036132 (on same link as above)
It says : Muttern har fler öppningar för att undvika att behållaren
sätts igen + injektorröret bör bytas då det oftast blir
    snett.
Translated: The nut has more openings to avoid the container of getting clogged + the injector pipe should be swithed sinse it will often be out of angle..?

Is this the answer on my problems? Will it work better than original spare part or to clean my old?
Or shall I trash the stupid machine?

    Thanks for your advice/

Difficult to be exact, the Electrolux software in the UK does not recognise those model/ PNC numbers.

I didn’t recognise the part in the spares link either. Logic says it has to be the level control set-up that’s at fault, but as Iadom says, we can’t get the tech information to work for your appliance.

    Re: Elektro-Helios DI830-3 won’t fill

I have just gone through all the Elektro-Helios listed on the UK DVD from Electrolux.

Around thirty models, apart from one cooker extractor hood, all the other machines are either cookers or refrigeration.

Yup, did that. The implication is that the info is for appliances manufactured or serviced by the Lux group – all the Crosslee products are listed for instance. Therefore, perhaps this dishwasher is not a Lux group product?

Info suggests it was made in 1993, Fault looks like the pressure switch part no 50279510007 which requires extensive modification both mechanical and electrical, would suggest you call in an expert to repair this.

    Hope this helps

Sorry for my late responce, I had some problems seeing any forums here at all once logged in, only outlogged, sometimes.. 🙄
    But now it seems OK.

Yes it is a true Electrolux product, similar machines with similar performance was:
    BW 410, BW 420 och BW 430

Hmm pressure switch? Is this improved in design as spare part?

It’s made by a different manufacturer basically, whether it’s an improvement or not is open to question 😉

    Aha…
So the basic error is not in the stupid plastic chamber then?
So it is a well known fact that the original design of the switch is crap?

This is great, this is what I suspected all the time, that the design is bad in som part of the machine since I have two of them nearby and both shows the same problem over and over again.
I think Electrolux should give me two new pressure switches for free since this is a design fault giving me a lot of pain….

Any links to this error of the pressure switch in the past?
So there is no point in replacing the plastic container also?
I mean there is little point in spending too much money on this old machnie for the switch if there will also be still the cleaning prob of the plastic container every now and then..
