Elica Cooker Extractor Hood with a strange fault

Hi, I have and Elica Hidden IGXL/A/60 with 12NC 208350504401

It was working fine. It has 4 speed settings, when you try to take it up to 3, the hood light starts flashing like a strobe light and the motor cuts out. All filters cleaned, anyone know wheat might be going here? [video=youtube;3Psw59lpRQU]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Psw59lpRQU[/video]

So just a quick update on this: Turns out it was a faulty switch unit, likely due to excessive fat build up, from the previous home owner who probably never cleaned the cooker hood!. I replaced the switch module and all up and running in about 20 minutes.
