Elica cooker hood fault.

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me with this.
I have an Elica cooker hood # 208339904405. The light won’t switch off with the remote control, I have to switch it off manually using the switch inside the hood. When I switch the hood on again (using the switch inside the hood) the light comes straight back on. The extractor fan works fine & can be switched on / off & adjusted with the remote with no problems. Any idea what is causing this? Is it the remote or is it the control module?

difficult to say but top suspect is the remote. if it was the reciever you would expect other functions not to work

problem is you will only know for certain if you swop it

I’d agree but it is a bit of a guess sadly and no way to prove it other that replacing parts, the remote used and it may have been changed is this one:
