Hi Ken and the team,
Thank you very much for hosting and organising this fabulous site which I find very helpful.
I noticed that some members have an email icon by the PM icon on posts which allows anyone to email you directly. Is that facility available to all? I have looked in the control panel to see if I could find it but I couldn’t (that’s not to say it isn’t there! :rolls: )
I’m beginning to get used to the search facility better now as well.

You can add or change your email by clicking on User Control Panel then profile and then edit account settings.

Thanks for that. I have tried that route and at the point where I can edit the account settings it is showing my email address but not how to set it to appear as an icon on posts.
The only thing I seem to be able to change is the password.
Perhaps at my ‘level’ I am not allowed to have an email icon?Cheers

Hi Guys,
It’s one of those “permissions” things, just ask any of the mods, they know what that means.
Essentially the email icon is hidden unless you specifically say that you want it to be be seen so far as I know. If it’s an issue let me know and I’ll have a look at the permissions and see if I can sort it to be how you need it to work, I can’t promise I can, but I’ll try try.

I guessed it was something like that. I have to say it would be useful to have if you can rather than keep giving out the email address but please don’t bust a gut over it as it is not essential.

Just a thought Poppins, once you have entered and saved your email addy go to board preferances and make sure the users can contact me by e-mail button is set to yes otherwise it will not show in your posts.
