ParticipantJust went to check their website as I needed to check if they repaired a certain module and have just found that they have ceased trading, is there anyone else that provides a relaible service like they did or are we now on our own?

ParticipantYes what a shame they have ceased trading, got a letter through the post today.
A big thanks to the guys at EMW from me!.
I made some good money from their repairs, always charged over £100 pounds labour for module repairs.
Fitted a reconditioned Zanussi washer dryer display module last week charged £225, repaired part was only £39.90, too cheap in my opinion, they should have charged more!.

ParticipantHi Dave,
Yes Its strange the QER website has no contact numbers to query if they repair a particular board before we send it off.
Never had any real problems with QER but I never found they were as fast as EMW with their return deliveries which were sent first class.

ParticipantThat’s a pity only just started using them.

I have used them in the past and can’t remember the reason why I went with EMW, I think it was the lack of Bosch module repair. I have a Hotpoint dryer module to send off to them in the vain hope that they will replace heater relays.

ParticipantI’ve just found out myself.
Just as DWSERV I had only just started using them.
What a shame. Though the post to them and back was slow for me, even though sent 1st class.
I used to use QER and always found them good (always used to choose DPD for return of board), but with the pandemic the old qer.biz website disappeared so I thought they’d gone out of business. Then I stumbled on them on eBay and subsequently found their new website. I don’t think it’s fake. The old website also looked cobbled together.June 22, 2021 at 6:06 pm #477200deltra
Participantbeen using qer for years, allways had good service, but i dont have to rely on post as they are local to me.

ParticipantJust had two modules repaired – new heater relays for both hotpoint condenser dryer and Bosch vented dryer. Refitted into the appliances and all appears to be working.

ParticipantSuch a shame that EMW have ceased trading, they had provided great service for a lot of years, I often wondered how they could get boards to your door so fast.

ParticipantWe used EMW more than QER, we found them more reliable. A shame they have gone
