As we sell Philips brown goods we have to use these useless rsoles to cover i/g stuff. I never realised how cr*p they were untill I got personally involved when my in-laws new video went faulty just after last xmas. 😯
Three visits and twenty phone calls later I managed to get a replacemant as their communication between retailers, customers and engineers is nothing less than pittiful.
And, yes I did get the point BTW, brown goods engineers on the market looking for work about now then 😉

KeymasterNot only that but NESN seem shit scared of them, but why? They can’t compete, can’t get staff and probably won’t now get any decent credit for an operation that size.
Wonder when they’ll all realise that we all paid more to do service?

ParticipantUnless I am mistaken or misinformed Endeva have no trained white goods engineers on their payroll, the only engineers they have/had are brown goods, the only involvement with “whites” is installs and exchanges for Whirlpool and Miele.
Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

KeymasterYeah, that was my understanding of it as well but like all these muppets they seem to think that whitegoods are more profitable than brown are. This is only because brown is in more of a shit state than we are, but not by much!
Maybe one day they’ll wisen up. 😕

ParticipantEndeva do have their own whitegoods engineers, many hundreds of them!
Earlier this year, Endeva closed several regional service centres and made over one hundred engineers redundant.
I was quick of the mark and phoned their HR dept offering jobs for two engineers. They were extremely gratefull for the call, and I soon had a string of hopefulls through my door.I took on two engineers from the Manchester area, they had both received 15 to 20k redundancy. The next day, I received a call from them both explaining that Endeva had contacted them offering their old jobs back, they would be allowed to keep their redundancy money!
It is this sort of incompetency that has led to their final demise in my opinion.
I have some good contacts at senior level within Endeva, I will post details next week, please feel free to contact them and add your name to the list of prospective employers.
The engineers are not multi brand, their expertise is with Whirlpool and some Hotpoint products only, unfortunately you wont find gas trained engineers either.

KeymasterI knew they were doing the installs etc for the Whirlpool American sid-by-sides but I was unaware of any actual “service” work that they did, what was it they were up to? Can we capitalise on it in any way either individually or using ND?
If it is truly a case of “tits-up” that work will have to go somewhere and the NESN vulture is circling.

KeymasterDelivery
It seems Whirlpool have no means of delivering the American range of appliances (as endevour did it ) which is costing me £300.00 profit on an american dreamspace which I can’t sell to a nursing home in Oban.
Lifes a twat sometimes but there again something will amble along to brighten my spirits… 8)

KeymasterAnd to ressurect this thread once again…
I assume we’ve all seen the post in the Rumour Mill by now regarding Endeva and Service Force, which is a bit interesting TBH in itself but no great shock really. What is a bit of a shock is that they have obviously not paid any heed to NESN by the looks of it and have basically done and end run around them.
Now, it gets interesting in NESN’s little world as Mike from Gwynne TV was in this evening and will have seen that, no doubt by noon tomorrow this will be spread around the ICE-D camp (browngoods) and if they swipe any work JT will either sink further into his breakdown or chuck his toys out the pram again! 😈
Thing is, I honestly think that they were thinking that they’d just mop up after the demise of Endeva as, when I mentioned it to JT, he was obviously ill at ease and shit scared of them for whatever reason. However, as I pointed out, Endeva had a *SHITLOAD* of money thrown at it and it wasn’t working (at that point) but he still seemed to think it was the competition. My conclusion is that he reckons that he can snare that work if there is no-one else about, oh how wrong he was, since there are other networks out there even if they don’t exactly fit the profile right now.
And then there’s Network DASA which, in all honesty, could destroy them in whitegoods if it’s right.
Happy trails 😆
