Afternoon all,
As some of you may know I am a classic appliance collector (a bit like a classic car collector). I hope you don’t mind me posting here.
I have been collecting for about 5 years now and I own some lovely washing machines, tumble dryers, twin tubs, vacuum cleaners and even one dishwasher! All lovingly restored and in occasional use with the help of some very nice and experienced people.
I have plenty of appliances from the 1980s and 1990s but I’m looking to cover the 1960s and 1970s now before it’s too late. I’ve noticed that the old Hotpoint 95 series are getting harder to find myself so the clock is ticking and I’m reaching out to the people here who work ‘in the field’ to help me obtain a few models in particular, namely the English Electric Reversomatic 474 or ‘Solid State’. I am also keen to find a Hotpoint 1600 and 1504 however the changes are not in my favour due to the unreliability of the former. Furthermore, I would love to find a Hoover Keymatic and A3060 because I have the matching D6042 tumble dryer. Then I’ve always had a soft spot for the purple Hotpoint Liberator models 1850, 1851, 1824, 1828 and 1848. I know a few of these are kicking around so it shouldn’t be too hard to find one.
Although I live in Ireland I really don’t mind where the machines are because I know a very good courier.

I really hope someone here knows the whereabouts of some of these lovely machines. I have a lot of love for these oldies. 😀
