Needed a fridge to tide me over until I can sort out my broken fridge freezer but think I’ve just been sold a dud on e-bay.
The compressor does not seem to be switching off at all whatever the setting on the thermostat (other than 0) and the milk and ham that was put in overnight froze up.

Sounds like it might be a faulty thermostat. I’ve had a look at the shop@ and a replacement is goona cost £20 (which is all i paid for the fridge).

Before I throw any more money at this temporary solution can someone tell me if there is anything else it could be (I.E. could I still have the same issue after replacing the thermostat?)

    many thanks

It’ll be the thermostat at fault. 😥
E’mail the model number to Dave (Shop @) and he will be sure to send you the correct part. Based on overall condition, only you can judge the viability of the repair.
Power off before any inspection commences. :plug:

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

    many thanks for that Steve.
The fridge is in pretty good nick so if a new thermostat will fix it I may go for it anyway.
Then again, I may just back it to the girl who flogged it on e-bay!!
