I see from earlier posts that error 4 indicates a drainage problem. The machine heats up & empties fine.
Elsewhere I have seen that it could indicate a faulty sensor NTC691. I have removed the cover plate below the door, there are several electrical devices around the sump, what is the function of each, which is the NTC691 and how do I remove it.

Have a look in the sump beneath the filter…at about the three o’clock position is a black grid, it will be crudded up inside.

Clean with hot water and toothbrush but don’t poke anything sharp through it, there’s a rubber diaphragm behind which can be punctured.

If the muck is particularly stubborn then it will need removing from underneath (bayonet fit onto the sump)and carefully disassembling.

Power disconnected at all times :zap:
