Error code 130 rotary position sensor

Hello
I have a Fisher and Paykel 5.5kg MW512 and I’m getting fault code 130.
Sometimes I can encourage the machine to keep going, but mainly it beeps incessantly. Pump, water inlet and spin all seem to work OK.
I unplugged and took off the rotor and stator to access the rotary position sensor to have a look. It is of a newer type that is encapsulated, presumably to avoid the problems with the circuit board that the older type was getting.
I’m wondering a couple of things – is there anything in particular to look for here or elsewhere on the machine, and secondly what is the correct part number for the replacement, if indeed the RPS is at fault? It has a sticker on it saying RPS 420776590798 (I think) but that seems to long and google didn’t help. It looks a lot like the “Aquasmart” 438515P but it is a different colour, white, not black. Not sure if this makes a difference. Can’t find any reference to Aquasmart on my machine.

Also, is there anywhere I should be checking for continuity?
