    Hi, I have an error code E08 on a hoover HWB814DN1 washing machine. Google tells me it’s the brushes or more like the tacho.
    The brushes are fine, the resistance across the tacho is steady at just over 43 ohms and varies when the tacho is rotated. It has been running noisy, so I know the bearings are a bit ropey, but the drum and motor are easy to turn by hand. Any ideas please?

    You know it’s a motor fault so the motor will need replacing as long as you have continuity through the wiring to the motor. 😉
