ParticipantHi All
This is my last best hope, help from the experts in this forum. I own a Europa Solarplus double oven that is about 8 years old (i bought it second hand in good condition).
Recently while moving house the bottom oven door (outer) was smashed. I went looking for a replacement but was unable to locate a model number anywhere on the unit (the top solar cooking plates unit has been replaced with a different make). In desperation to locate a model number, i have posted pictures of the unit on my website. http://homepage.eircom.net/~bitsnbobs
Perhaps some one could have a look and identify the cooker
Also, it is possible to locate a glass or door for this unit? (I live in Ireland)Many thanks for any help

Hard to believe, but the model number may well be on a label under the bottom front edge of the oven – you need to look up to see it!

Looking at your pictures and spending some considerable time going back and forth on the parts ID software, the nearest I can come up with is a 6101860 door glass, it looks exactly the same as yours, with the same shape of handle ( not included). Around £25.50 + vat.
May be better to see if you can come up with a correct model number but if not that is my best guess.Jim.

Thanks a million for the replies to my query.
No model number underneath the oven, however, lifting off the top cover to reveal the circuitry, on a small panel are the numbers, in bold print ‘9040’, does this sound like a model number to you?If not, i will go with Iadom’s exhaustive research (thanks for that by the way) and order a 6101860 door glass.
Can i order this part through here?
Thanks once again

9040 does not mean anything as far as ID is concerned.
You can order that part from here spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
However it would be at your risk if it turned out to be the wrong part.
NB. Just had another look and noticed that there are two sizes, the number I gave originally is for a 60mm width unit. If yours is 55mm wide you may need a 6101649.July 12, 2006 at 9:38 pm #181192liamt

Ok, measuring across the top over door, the glass seems to be 59cm which is near enough the 60 cm. I understand the risk but if it is near enough a match it do.
Before I order, do i need to order and sealant or glue as well? Thanks once again for all the help

Looking at the diagram which is not that clear, it does appear as though the lower fixing brackets are part of the door glass assembly. My own Hotpoint built in oven has a similar door and the lower brackets are fixed to this. The diagram does not list the fixing plates separately so it looks as though you should be OK with the door glass alone.

I have exactly the same problem with my Europa oven that looks exactly the same as yours liamt! You guys are great being able to answer a query like this.
I will look for the model number on a label under the bottom front edge of the oven, but I’m pretty sure it isn’t there, we’ve searched the whole oven. I wonder why this model does not have an ID anywhere?
laimt – have you ordered the part yet? How long does it take to deliver? If you’ve received it, did it fit?
Thanks for your help everyone,

Liam won’t have recieved it yet Beccie as it’s just arrived here today (FYI as well Liam) 😀
If you could check for the model number and let us know if you find it.
Dave.

I have to say that the type of rating plate, or should I say stick on label 😥 used on these cookers is almost useless, the label on my own Hotpoint built in peeled off after about 18 months.

But you’ll have stuck it to your user manual for future reference, won’t you Jim? 😀

Unfortunately we also bought our cooker secondhand from a friend, so do not have the original paperwork. I will remember to write down any details I have on stickers in future!
How long does it take from ordering the part to delivery? Is it also £25.50 for the 55cm door?
Once I have managed to check on the underside of the oven to see if the sticker is there (not an easy task!), I will order with serial number or not!
Thank you,

A 55cm double built under oven ? Such a thing doesn’t exist I’m afraid.
Is yours freestanding Beccie ?

Oh, in one of iadom’s replies, he said:
NB. Just had another look and noticed that there are two sizes, the number I gave originally is for a 60mm width unit. If yours is 55mm wide you may need a 6101649.
Which reading again actually says mm not cm, but Liam’s next note then said his door measured 59cm. What does this width refer to and where should I measure?
It is not installed in the kitchen at the moment, but it doesn’t have a hob on top so I think it is built-in. Is that right?
Sorry to be a pain… Beccie
