    Hi can anyone help,
I have a Beko AP930X american frost free fridge freezer, I had a problem where bottom of both fridge and freezer froze including cold water supply. I had discovered that the evaporator fan had failed and had an open circuit when testing. I have since put a new fan in, the fan will spin up on initial power up but then nothing. I have put unit into test mode and can togle on and off the fan plus all the other devices. The sensors all seem to be ok, if left on long eough we do see temp gauge readings for both freezer and fridge, the cold baffle opperates ok also. Am not getting any error codes displayed. Help needed, thanks

    Re: Evaporator Fan

Press the door switch, fan won’t run with door open I expect.

    Re: Evaporator Fan

Hi. Yes had pressed door switch. Makes no differance. Bottom of fridge ices up. The fan is deffinatley not running though can toggle it off and on in test mode. I am starting to think that when the old fan failed it may have damaged main control board. Would have liked some confirmation before buying new one though.

    Re: Evaporator Fan

Control board is working if its coming on in test mode, fan gets its supply through the pink wire from the main board.
Make sure you have not dislodged some of the sensors while working at the evaporator section.
Are you sure both door switches were closed whle testing, I remember been baffled as to why one would’nt run & it did’nt start till I made door switches.

    Re: Evaporator Fan

Hi thanks for response. Unfortunatley i had double ckecked door switches. I have bit the bullet and ordered a new main board. I had discovered the pink wire that supplys the fan voltage. Only gives on initial power on and in test mode. I have for test purposes conected fan suply to the black wire which is the compresor. Now fan runs when compresor is. Been hooked up like this now for 7hrs and temps have stabalised. Will revert back to standard when new board arrives. Did not know what else i could do right now.

    Re: Evaporator Fan

I have just ordered a new freezer fan for my AP930x as I have the same problem where bottom of fridge is freezing and top of freezer isn’t.

All Forums point towards the freezer fan so will try this first as replacement is only about £20.

Took a while to dismantle the top / inside of the freezer as you have to remove and unplug all the Ice Making equipment – fingers crossed it’s just the fan in my case…..
