I have a Beko CS461FF Fridge/Freezer which has a fan that just doesn’t seem to work when it should do. I notice this by the fact that my ice lollies get to the point where they are virtually melting and turning shape and at that point the fan kicks into gear and freezes them up again ! I know I shouldn’t be allowing it to do this but it has been going on now (on and off) for about six months and I have kept hoping that it would sort itself out. I am now fed-up of throwing stuff away. The food further down in the lower three compartments tends to stay frozen enough to be okay until the fan decides to start working again. Can anyone help or should I just get a new F/F.

turn your fridge freezer off then leave it off for 24 hrs with the doors open to allow it to defrost fully.
then turn the appliance back on and use normally.
if the same symptoms come back within 28 days then you have a fault on the defrost system.
if the fault doesnt reoccur then its probale that at some point the freezer door has been left open.

Many thanks for that, my 17 year old son does have a habit of leaving the door ajar 🙄
Since I posted, however, I removed all lollies/ice creams from the top quarter of the freezer (the bit with the fan in it), and the fan started working again and has been fine since 😕 I know that there was nothing blocking the fan and so my conclusion is that maybe my freezer is allergic to lollies and ice creams 😆
