What’s the make of it and I’ll look it up for you? 😕
Edit: Since found that it’s an Electrolux but to save all the aggro it would have been handy if you’d posted both MAKE and model no…:rolls:
I should think that it’s likely that the door interlock has blown the main circuit board? You’ll need to yank out the board and inspect it for blown tracks to be sure. 😉

Ask customer if they turned it off when it was still spinning. Apparently this kills the board :rolls: . Great design, eh?

normally if it in Lux,AEG, ZAN it will need a power PCB, display interface, interlock , and after all that you will get a E31 fault, u will need an pressure switch…..if it also has a DC motor , u will need an invertor…..to be honest, if it aint on insurance, ure customer might as well buy a new one!…….

When the interlock goes, I think you still get a display showing, even if the board has gone down with it. Start / pause would be flashing too. This sounds more like a power supply gone within the board, possibly a large capacitor.
If under 2 years old tell the customer to go and have a moan at the retailer / manufacturer.

emw wont repair the main pcbs for these btw, its a diy job or new one direct from lux with trade disc.
you could write it off but customer is entitled to decide whether to spend £250ish on the repair or £675+ for a replacement spec machine.
hence all spare part prices will be relative…
as for lux after sales, meh. if it was a comet/currys/jl/developer sale then bend the ear so far back itll break, if its a pleasant indie retailer, be nice to them, its not their fault, and they will do what they can
