    Hi
    We are about to replace our integrated fridge and freezer with undercounter appliances. Is it safe to plug both items into a 2-way extension cable?

    Yes provided the extension cable is rated at 13 amp, that it is protected with a 13 amp fuse and that the flex itself is 3 core and not 2. A ready-made extension lead from a national DIY chain should be ideal. However a bodged-up mix of old mains cable with a plug at one end and dodgy looking socket tacked on the other end should be avoided of course.:wink:
