    Hi all

Please can someone advice what the above error means. (No. 10 as in the advise article on errors shown in the article about the infamous RS21 problems on this site)

Did a diagnostic check and this appeared.

    Regards

Fridge defrost error – means that the appliance has not defrosted within the allocated time frame. You need to check the defrost heater, drain heater, thermal fuse and sensor. Most common with this is a saturated evaporator cover. So remove cover and see what you find.

Big problem with defrost sensors on this model. If you are able to check the defrost sensor on the evaporator , note what colour the end cap is. If its not the latest version ( BLACK end cap) will probably need replacing. part no. SAMS DA32-00006U

This is the latest modification samsung have made after countless problems with this model.

Also check your evaporator cover to see if it has the metal defrost strip from the fan hole. Again if not… must be replaced. part no. SAMS DA 97-00092S

If you can test the connections, 3 plug connections top to bottom these are the expected results.

    1.thermal fuse= continuity
    2a.main defrost heater= 480 ohms
    2b.drain heater= 2 k ohms
    3.ntc defrost sensor= 13.3 k ohms @ 0 degrees c.

    Hope it helps.
