    Hi,

I’m getting conflicting information about whether I can work on fridges/freezers and was hoping you more experienced guys could clarify. On the one hand I’ve been told I can’t touch a fridge at all unless I’m f-gas registered, on the other I’ve been told I can as long as I don’t touch the gas/refrigerant parts. Any clarification appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jon

If you just do r600a and only domestic fridges then you actually do not need f gas registration.

Many thanks for the clarification. Yes, I’m only doing domestic and wouldn’t touch the sealed refridgerant parts at the moment anyway. I have arranged for some training before I do that.

    Cheers, Jon
