F-P 00101000 beep! beep!

Hows it hanging, I’ve got a problem with my F-P MW512 top load washer, beeping rather than washing and have run a diagnostics check and getting code 00101000, anyone have any ideas on what the drama is?

Right, the drum is supposed to sit on a splined drive/clutch mechanism. Excess froth and foam can cause the level switch to believe that the machine is still full, even when empty. Laundry escaping from the drum and tangling round the shaft can cause this fault. If all else fails, it’s a computer problem.

cheers mate, pulled the whole thing apart, couldn’t find any gunk anywhere, anyhows put it back together and ran a load no problem, then next load beep, beep! now i am getting the old 00100101…..any ideas?

That one is the pump blocked error. If the machine is empty, it may well be the water level control system as mentioned above.

cheers, the thing is full of water and won’t pump, makes sense then, back to the toolbox….
