F & P MW059 00110101 water spurts and then stops

Earlier today the machine was fine until it went to drain the top load – water would’nt drain on top, but would drain on medium and low loads. Hubby tried to fix it this evening and now it just powers up, lights on board come on but when we go to start a wash the water comes out, stops, then spurts out and stops a couple more times before the error lights come up and the machine beeps – even when the power is off on the board!

It’s a F & P MW059AU with the code 00110101 – the last 0 sometimes flashes, too.

Any assistance would be oh so greatly appreciated!

Fault code 53. Rotor position sensor step fail.

Check wiring, corrosion etc to RPS board.

Follow the red, blue and yellow wires into the motor.
