F & P Smartdrive 085 error code 01010110

Hi,
Can anyone identify this error code for me please.
Error 01010110 on a Fisher & Paykel Smartdrive 085 washing machine.
The machine tries to fill on and off for a while until it gives up and beeps.

106 (as per sticky above) is a communications error between the control and display boards. Either one could be at fault.

Thanks for that, but I think I gt it wrong. I have just pulled apart the display board and it appears that it is the first led that is blanked not the last, I was assuming there was another led after the spin led. So this now changes the error code to 00101011 (with the spin led flickering). Can you help with this one please.

That’s a bit easier for you – Out of Balance switch problems. May be wiring or corrosion problems, switch itself can play up. Bias spring may be off the drum, allowing it it ride against the lever.

Lift the top deck for access, power off, of course.

Had same error code on my F&P GW608.
Found problem was corrosion on terminals to Out of Balance switch. Cleaned terminals with bicarb soda & toothbrush, put back together, goes 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}!
