Not sure what you’re getting at, Tony……

Removing the drum is pretty straightforward – top deck off, undo big nut in the motor centre, take motor out of the way and pull the drum straight
    out.

    Power off, of course.

sorry I was’nt clear, The Fisher & Paykel washer,The stainless steel wash
bowl that has plastic chambers top and bottom, because the chambers are airtight, the bottom chamber allows
the bowl to float up on the wash cycle, and theairfore disengage the dog clutch.I was wondering how the chambers becoming waterlogged affected the operation or whether this didn’t pose a problem?

The wash bowl construct features a top and bottom balance ring. These are supposed to be half full of water – if empty, the tub will need to be replaced. The flotation action of the drum is done by the cone shaped section at the bottom of the tub – this traps air as the water level rises and thus floats the tub off the splined drive.

Thank You very much for that.
I had no idea the tub was supposed to have water in the tanks.
