ParticipantAny ideas why this wouldn’t work? I have taken the tray out and put water in it and it comes out so scratching my head…

This is the Samsung, yes?
If the syphon is working when you fill it manually, then logically it isn’t getting water when it’s in the machine. Check the holes in the roof of the soap box.

Yes that is slimey and scummy as I don’t know what. What is the best way of cleaning that?

Toothbrush for scrubbing, skinny bit of bent wire for pricking out the holes.

The drawer itself is spotless, but it is the slot it fits into that needs cleaning. If I was to use a brush etc wouldn’t it fall and block tubes etc?

The soap drawer fits into the soap box.
Yes, all the muck and goo will fall off. You’ll be able to mop up most of it, but some will wash down inside. This is the point at which you perform a sevice wash:
