I have a 5 ring Fagor induction hob. 2 of the rings are working but the other 3 have stopped working. The on / off buttons just do nothing, no heat, and nothing lights up on the displays.

Is there something simple I can check first to reset or do I just get an electrician in? Do I need a specialist in induction hobs or just any old qualified electrician. The complication is Fagor went out of business (I think) so I’m not sure any parts will be available?

I see Currys do a £99 hob fix service with no fix, no fee but not a great fan of them so any recommendations really appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Fagor induction hob

induction hobs use electronic panel to produce the power for the pan so there is nothing inside you can look at
    there is one long shot
a lot of hobs use link plates in the terminal block where the mains wire connects. if these are not checked for tightness then you often find half a hob goes off

I have added a picture for clarity, you can see the brass links, turn off at the mains, remove term cover, look for burning/ melting and check all screws for tightness
