Fagor LFU-65IT dishwasher

Don’t come across these much but was at one today, not heating.

The safety stat was open circuit ( also part of the thermister). I’m wondering, what would usually cause it to go open, most likely overheated? Would the thermister going faulty usually cause this or is this going to be caused by a board fault that keeps power to the element when it shouldn’t? Should i run away from this one or chance replacing the stat :clown: :clown: 😆

Basic really, Thermistor faulty causes the heater to over-heat, in turn causing the cut-out to go open-circuit

That’s what i was figuring anyway, it’s a good bit away didn’t want to be spending more money and time on an old dishwasher, i’ll give it a shot, thanks for the reply.
