Fagor vs Bosch integrated washing machine – advice please!

Hi

I’d be interested to hear your views on Fagor washing machines – having trawled the internet, there doesn’t seem to be much info out there. We’re refitting our kitchen and had almost decided on the Bosch WIS28440GB, but a local independent dealer has suggested the Fagor FWM714iT as a cheaper option (£230 cheaper!). We have a 10 yr old Bosch free-stander (1200 spin) at the moment, which has served us well but is quite noisy when spinning – we’ve been told this is due to the floor being suspended joists/floorboards rather than concrete.

On paper, the Fagor machine looks similar – 1400 spin, 7kg wash load, time indicator etc, and it has a 5 year guarantee, so would you go with that, or is the Bosch worth the extra money?

Buy cheap, get cheap or buy cheap buy twice. 😉

That’s normally my opinion too, but having read the useful section on this website about the various manufacturers, I’d really like to know if anyone has any experience of the Fagor machines, good or bad. I understand they are fairly new over here but big in Europe, so are they cheaper because they aren’t a big name? Is it down to reliability, or build quality, or noise?

Fagor machines have been sold in the UK for well over 30 years. Mainly Spanish made machines.

Not in the same league as BSH appliances when it comes to quality.

They are cheaper because they are cheaper 😉

Have to agree with Iadom,I see a lot of Fagor machines and the quality is nowhere near the Bosch

Budget is the issue on this, its like comparing a honda to a high spec merc… if you can afford the bosch buy it but compare the fagor to the rest in its price range, id always opt for a fagor. At least they do wash well and have a long comprehensive warranty
