Had a couple of jobs recently with BSH appliances that are still under the 2 year guarantee. In both cases customers rang BSH only to be advised that they thought their problem was a ‘consumer fault’ and therefore not covered by their warranty and if that proved to be the case then a £95 ‘call-out fee’ would be applied. Both customers, in my case, opted out of that and phoned me instead. Call 1 : Bra wire caught in drum. Call 2: Pump filter jammed with collar stiffener.
So, nice one BSH, thanks! It’s good to know that your call centre staff give fair warning of their OTT call out charges enough for customers to seek local help.
