About to buy a new cooker this week, and keen to make a good decision as it’s a lot of money. We’re choosing between a Falcon (CKR 1092) and Mercury dual fuel range cooker. (Looked at the Britannia, but the facade seemed flimsy in comparison).
Does anyone have practical experience of the two makes? Is one more user friendly than the other? Do the ovens warm up quickly?

Many thanks. All advice gratefully received.

Thanks. I’ll read through the info, and hopefully reach a decision.

Both brands are now owned by AGA-Rangemaster, I imagine that means that the Mercury’s will soon be made in the Rangemaster factory maybe ?

For now though as a direct answer I would go for Falcon as the quality is just fantastic and I never hear a word of complaint from customers I visit with them.
