Fan on top oven.

My stoves top oven fan works on the oven setting but not on the grill setting.Am I correct in saying that if the fan does not work the element will not work?
What is the possible cause, will it be the microswitch?

Some model info would help. 😉

If you mean the fan at the back of the oven, it will not run when the grill is on unless you have a fanned grill setting and select that.

So no, that wouldn’t cause the grill not to operate.
