ParticipantHi guys
just joined this forum, didn’t know it existed, looks very helpful :tleft:
My fan oven element has packed up (or at least I think it has). Its a NEFF B1691 Oven, numbers are FD 8010 and SR B1691N0GB/01. Its built Oct 2000 I think. Now the top and bottom hidden elements seem to heat fine but the circular fan oven element doesn’t get hot at all.
I assume the element is broken, would that be a correct assumption?
If so, and this is my main question .. I see spare parts here £17.99 for a compatible part v £64.75 for a genuine part seems a big difference. I can’t tell the difference between the £17.99 above and the £24.49 part :con:
Where is the best place to buy bang for buck on these elements?
PS: apologies if I am not allowed post links of my first post. Not spamming 🙂

Yes the fan oven element needs replacing in this case. No, don’t spend eSpares rip off prices. Buy better and cheaper in this websites own spares store. Pattern just as good as genuine and often the exact same part from the same factory.

ok and now you have another bit of business. 😳
Do I have to replace the whole door? I don’t see a replacement part on the website? :hmm:

I’ll ask Dave to take a look for you as they are often very model specific but I suspect it will be an inner and outer door you’ll need.
It will not be cheap I’m afraid. 🙁

yeah that would be brilliant K, thank you, the inner door is fine so just outer door. The springs were on the way out too as was the seal, In any case, I think it will be too expensive so might just get a new oven.
PS: I sent an email cancelling the order of the element, if someone could cancel that, it would be great until we decide what’s the best course of action
