I have a fan oven which after it is turned off the fan continues turning (at least I presume it is the fan) for quite a long time afterwards. Do they all do this? I feel it is a waste of electricity. Or is mine faulty?
It’s a cooling fan no doubt and yes, that is supposed to happen to prevent damaged to the kitchen cabinets.
They also cool the fascia and knobs.
The alternative is that the fascia and knobs get too hot to touch and you can melt the coating on the cabinets and doors around the oven.
