    I have a Hotpoint Mistral Frost Free fridge-freezer which seems to be working ok except the fans have been permanently running for the last 48hrs, the temperatures seem to be ok (5c in fridge & minus 20c in freezer)checked over a 24hr period, does anyone have any idea why this is happening. I’m concerned about the fan or fans (not sure if there are 1 or 2) burning out especially when they are running during the night.
    any help would be appreciated.

    When you say the fans are running do you mean the internal fan the external fan or both.

    Have you checked the external pipe work underneath and at the back are not blocked with fluff.

    Thanks Samuri for the info, removed the grill (air vent) at the front/bottom of freezer and found the pipework behind completely blocked with cat fur, now been cleared and fan operating normally. Thanks again.
