My daughter has just rung to say her ISE10 CD60 dryer is showing F2. Fired up the fault code guide on the iPad to find that F2 is an oversoaping or drain pump problem, possibly coins in outlet hose????? Erm , I don’t think so. :rolls:

Thankfully the ASKO info is correct, dryer timeout after 3 hours.

Wow Jim, I do believe that’s the first one wrong to date and I honestly didn’t know about it.

Will see what the score is when I get a moment as I need to update that anyway.

Any more info that anyone has on F2 greatly appreciated. 🙂

    Re: Fault code guide error.

The manual, it says and pretty much runs in popularity or frequency….

The washing has been spun at too low a speed, i.e. less than 800 rpm.

    Check if the customer has:

    • Tried spinning at a higher speed

The control unit did not have chance to reset, but added the time to the next drying cycle.

    Check if the customer has:

    • Has the machine switched off for 30 minutes before restarting

High ambient temperature combined with low element output and low drying temperature leads to condensation formation.

    Check if the customer has:

    • Attempted to select another programme
    • Good ventilation in the room

Poor condensation due to blocked external air

    • Ensure that the external air has free passage.

Defective thermistor. • Replace the thermistor.
Defective control unit • Replace control unit.

The last two are wildcards I think as I’ve never heard of either solving an F2 problem, it’s almost always either laundry too wet or overloading that causes it. The only time you get the 30 mins thing is normally in commercial where they don’t let them cool off and get this, that’s the most common cause we see but I wouldn’t have expected it in domestic use ordinarily.

    Re: Fault code guide error.

I did read all of that last night and can’t think of anything there that would relate.

I am pretty certain it won’t be spinning very wet clothes or overloading. Machine is in a garage and has performed perfectly for nearly 3 years ( since I bought both washer and dryer from Bryan/R600a ). 😉

They both have office jobs so no excessive or heavy washing, going down this afternoon to have a look.

    Re: Fault code guide error.

Front fan badly clogged up, pity the machine isn’t supplied with a small torx bit and instructions on how to flip off the fan cover. 😉

Cleaned it all out then set it running with some damp towels.

Appeared to work fine apart from one thing, set it to ‘Normal’ sensor drying and the display counted down in 5 minute steps until it reached 3 minutes, it then stayed on this for 15/20 minutes until I switched it off manually.

Is this just fuzzy logic at work or could it be something else, she hasn’t mentioned this as a problem?

    Re: Fault code guide error.

If I recall, it’s in the user manual.

Dunno why they used a torx bit though, it’d have made more sense to use a standard philips but heh ho.

Could well be the logic Jim if there was nothing in it to sense drying. Let it run normally for a bit and see if it’s okay, I suspect it will be fine now.

    Re: Fault code guide error.

We had a similar discussion the last time I had a clogged up fan.

Pages 15/16 of the manual are cleaning instructions, there is no mention whatsoever of removing the fan cover to clean. 😉

I did have a small load of damp towels in it BTW.

No, it isn’t, I keep thinking that it is. 😕
