    Hello folks

I acquired a Hoover D7610 Soft wave dishwasher when we bought our new house 2 years ago. Recently it has stopped functioning properly.

What happens is the dial which usually rotates to progress the washing cycle seems to stick at one point. I have also noticed that even though I can advance the dial manually to go through the programme, the water is cold.

This leads me to think that the reason the programme isn’t working is because the water is not heating up – which is most likely to be a fault with the heating elemetnt or thermostat, I am guessing.

Anyone got any ideas on how I can figure out which of these it is most likely to be?

    thanks

It could be either or it could be neither, it could also be the control timer, pressure switch or a wiring break. The only way to be certain is to test the individual components with proper electrical test equipment, with the mains plug removed of course.
