ParticipantIf you could bear with me on this one.
How would you describe or diagnose this fault?
After a few replies I’ll tell you what this customer has been told….
I’m sorry but I just cannot get pictures to show.. I don’t know why? Just follow the link or a mod sort

It looks like low on refrigerant or a blockage in the system.
You also need to check if the wet wall has blown.
Or if it is a built in model check to see if it has an external cooling fan and if it is working.A model number would help as if it is a frost free fridge freezer there could be a fault with the defrost system in the freezer compartment and could cause the same problem
Best guess is the first two or wet wall blown.
But you cannot tell from just a picture without a model or being able to check it on a visit.
Most likely a B.E.R. if it is a system fault.

Thanks. Sorry I did know exactly what it was. I just wanted a few people to say exactly what you said.
It had a new stat fitted two weeks ago, six months before that as well. Another one a year ago and so on and on. In fact six, yes six new stats in the last 2-3 years. A large warranty insurance group keeps sending engineers who replace the stat each time. The lady asked why it’s not working? The last engineers answer: We get cheap parts to fit and they don’t work very well.
I was asked to have a look whilst I was PAT testing there for the landlord.
Absolutely shocking really. The tenant has bought her own fridge/freezer because everything freezes in the fridge.
For information it’s a Candy CFBC 3150 A. I replaced one just a few weeks back not far from this one…..

I had a few with liners blown on this model.
So it is a system fault low on Gas or liner blown.
As it is not an expensive model I would say it is B.E.R.
